Wheeeeeew!

The night in Emmett was spent on the back 5 foot strip of lawn at a motel with no vacancy. Then we woke up and continued to the next spot, Horseshoe bend. Here are a few photos of it.

I am happy to be out of Oregon! Leaving was like breaking a spell. The riding today took us through an agricultural area. This route helps us avoid traffic. Tomorrow I believe is more of the same.

Laundry day. Last night was a bit brutal with train horns, bright lights etc. tonight is a motel!

65 miles today! It was plenty, seemed very hot. Lucky during the last hour of riding found an open restaurant. It gave the needed energy to finish strong. Now I need to look at what tomorrow holds.

Wheeeew! Quite a ride. Only 50 miles, however there were two passes. Now just seeing bottles of alcohol.

Long Day-70 miles

I am happy the ride is over for the day! We are now in John Day Oregon. My riding partner Brett will be switching out his racing bike for his touring bike. He will start the switch over tomorrow.

We are in Mitchell Oregon tonight. This is where I left off last year. Tomorrow we ride to John Day, about 66 miles away. We are staying at the Oregon motel.
